Kshethra (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a temple companion app built for devotees visiting Kukke Subrahmanya Temple and surrounding areas. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us.

1. Device Identifier
We generate a random unique device ID (stored locally on your device) to associate your room requests, reviews, and help requests with your device. This is not your phone's hardware ID and cannot identify you personally.
2. Location Data
With your explicit permission, we access your device's location to show nearby facilities (washrooms, parking, restaurants, ATMs), calculate distances, and provide directions. Location data is used in real-time only and is not stored on our servers.
3. Name & Phone/WhatsApp Number
When you submit a room request, you provide your name and WhatsApp number. This data is used solely to contact you about your booking and is stored securely on our servers.
4. Reviews
If you submit a review, we store the review text, your display name, and the associated device ID. Reviews are publicly visible to other users.
How We Use Your Data
- To process and manage your room booking requests
- To display relevant nearby facilities based on your location
- To show your reviews to other devotees
- To improve our services and fix bugs
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely on cloud servers (Google Cloud Platform) with encryption in transit and at rest. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Maps — for location and navigation features
- Google Sign-In — for optional account authentication
- Expo/EAS — for app updates and distribution
Your Rights
- You can use the app without providing location access (some features will be limited)
- You can request deletion of your data by contacting us
- Room request data is automatically removed after 90 days
